I often hear people talking about having tired eyes, and having to "strain to see". I've always found that straining or squinting makes my vision worse, not better, and the thing to do if I'm having trouble reading is get up and go for a walk. We have a tendency to define these internal pictures to things which are different from us. So, of course geeks, nerds, etc., will be assigned this image, because most of the popular kids don't wear them, and thus people are stigmatized, if it is a belief that is strong then over time people will accept it without question, except the people who have to wear glasses!! But then why do we also see people who look more distinguished, or perhaps older, it's because a majority of older people are required to wear glasses, even though they may have never needed them.

You're a businessperson as well. Some would argue that you should always think of yourself as a businessman first and artist second. This can cause the contact lens wearer to be unable to continue wearing lenses altogether or drastically reduce the length of time they can wear the lenses comfortably.
